In this senior role, I developed and implemented business features within a self-organising team, and worked closely with the system architect to increase scalability and reduce technical debt. In this my organisational skills and design background has proved invaluable, and my Linux/Apache skills and deep understanding of the system architecture meant I was key in ensuring site performance and stability.

In this role I used XHTML, javascript, CSS and perl to develop features on a Mason framework to deliver localised sites across several European countries. With cross-browser compatibility and standards compliance in mind, my technical and design skills helped deliver a dynamic and user content driven website.

As a designer I created assets for online and offline marketing campaigns using Adobe software, and developed and published online content using XHTML, Javascript, CSS and perl. I also helped compile and analyse marketing statistics.

I used PHP, MySql, XHTML, Javascript and CSS to deliver several cross-browser compatible, dynamic and media rich websites. Providing services from server administration to design, full website development and set-up I built good relationships with clients.

As part of a small team I helped develop concepts for new interfaces and products to compete in a usability aware market - to be presented to clients like Ricoh, Clarion and Raymarine. Extensive research of the competition, the product and its use, information architecture and the user journey were key in creating intuitive, emotive and coherent designs.

Two day perl course on various topics including Object Orientation, Advanced Testing, Benchmarking and Profiling.
